WBL
Dry Film Lubricant

WBL-52 is a water-based gel with super-fine synthetic graphite in suspension. When applied, the water evaporates, leaving behind a dry film. WBL-52 is used in heavy industrial applications where high temperatures rule out conventional oil or solvent-based products. The most common applications are cement kiln support rollers, stop blocks and slipper pads. Ideally, the concentrate should be diluted with water at 10:1. At that concentration, WBL-52 is not prone to separation, even over long periods of storage.

Maximum continuous temperature with regular replenishment is 1950°F (1065°C).

Applications:

  • Cement kiln support rollers, stop blocks and slipper pads
  • Forging of non-ferrous metals
  • Aluminum die casting and extrusion including lubrication of dies and dummy blocks
  • Permanent mild chill and sand core coating
  • Wire drawing
  • Ingot and billet mold coating
  • High temperature chains
  • Stop-off and anti-weld coating
  • Coating for glass forming tools

Benefits

  • EXCELLENT WETTING ABILITY - on metal surfaces.
  • GRAPHITE PARTICLE SIZE - 1-2 microns. Does not interfere with surface of material being produced.
  • ECONOMICAL - dilute with water as required.
  • STABLE CONCENTRATE - minimal separation before dilution. After dilution, moderate agitation is beneficial.
  • EASY APPLICATION - can be sprayed, brushed, or dipped.
  • NONFLAMMABLE AND NON-COMBUSTIBLE.
